The Declaration of Independence

The articles of confederation and the Declaration of Independence were written in the American experience.Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, George Washington, as well 96 others recognized that complete anarchy was not a system of laws that could withstand a full revolution much less long term durability. Madison was a little richer, had an understanding wife and preferred the order of even a corrupt monarchy.

Idaho is home

My mother screams at me over Idaho so I decided to write something that is a little more nuanced. I'm not interested in living in Colorado. As a matter of fact I hate it. Idaho is my home. My friends are there, my doctor is there. My insulin pump trainer is there, my life is there. You're screaming is part of who you are now and I'm not sure how to deal with it. Trump can't serve in government

Article 2 and the 14th Amendment show just why Congress needs to get active and how the Due Process clause is supposed to work. Trump is a convicted felon awaiting sentencing. He is a traitor favoring Russia over Ukraine.He is inept and incompetent. The constitution is clear as to what Congress has to do. Remove him. In terms of Apprentice, you're fired.Calling congress daily is step one. Protests give outlet to frustration but to date haven't encouraged the faux president to resign. It's time for congress to represent the best interestts of the American people. It is contingent on them to act to get elected.

Inauguration

 As a high schooler I spent my senior year in then West Germany. I had an American flag camera strap but felt conflicted about Reagan and Bush. I learned a lot about fascism and Nazis and the relationship between Germany and Poland in modern Europe. I even got to travel to Poland under Russian rule with my host family who had immigrated from the Soviet state.  While I was living in Germany, I met people from the Middle East, Africa and Asia. One thing united all of them: home.  Ultimately, I flew home with my friends. We exchanged letters as we headed to college and found new lives in the United States. We sometimes blamed our government and sometimes we focused on Europe as the wall came down. Some of us traveled back. I don't think any of us became Republicans.
